Elaine started her career in the food and beverage industry, managing upscale dining operations for a hotel catering to visitors and guests of an adjacent convention and exposition center.

Using the business skills and knowledge she gained from working in hospitality, Elaine then decided to pivot into commercial mergers and acquisitions work. She started out as a broker for national brokerage firm VR Business Brokers, focusing initially on the sale of independent and franchised restaurants, bars and nightclubs. But with the reach of VR’s 450 offices across the country specializing in all types of lower-market business acquisitions, Elaine was soon negotiating the sale of hundreds of varied businesses, from dental practices to commercial fleet maintenance operations.

She then joined ReMax Commercial Brokers to start and manage their Business Brokerage and Mergers and Acquisitions Division. Elaine developed a team of six mergers and acquisitions professionals focusing on sales of lower-to middle-market businesses, from medical practices to manufacturing operations.

It wasn’t long before Elaine’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to launch her own private mergers and acquisitions firm. She served for 15 years as Owner and Partner of a lower- to middle-market brokerage with offices in Louisville, Boise and Salt Lake City, putting her skills as a business transaction consultant to work for clients with EBITDA of more than $500,000.

In 2019, Elaine decided to merge her successful firm with Impact Business Brokerage focusing on lower- to middle-market mergers and acquisitions in the restaurant and hospitality, specialty manufacturing, distribution, and business services industries. Elaine’s decades of business transaction experience and extensive background in mergers and acquisitions make her the perfect leader for the Impact Business Brokerage team.
